About us
Clevergy ensures fair access to electricity by empowering users to save energy, reduce costs, and protect the planet. Partnering with leading energy retailers, we provide SaaS solutions that help customers optimize their energy use. This individual-level efficiency yields collective benefits for the grid, creating more resilient, sustainable communities... We see a future where energy is accessible, affordable, and sustainable. Communities play an active role in the transition to clean energy, reducing usage and supporting a flexible, resilient power grid that bolsters city resilience and environmental protection
The energy landscape is rapidly evolving, but significant challenges remain. Increased energy demand from electrification puts pressure on outdated infrastructure. On the other hand, many users lack the tools and knowledge to take control of their energy consumption while encouraging users to adopt new technologies and participate in energy-sharing communities is not straightforward.
Our product team is entirely in-house, where we develop:
- Beautifully designed applications for utilities to improve their engagement with customers, helping them understand and control their energy consumption
- And many more: we are constantly challenging new revenue streams for the company that could go in any direction. We want you to help us identify these new business lines!
Product context
Our product team manages all the moving pieces that enable us to sell useful tech to our customers in a fast and steady way.
- Product roadmap: we make sure that the roadmap reflects the direction of the company. We gather feedback from: customers, users, and other stakeholders to make sure that we have a clear way forward. Feedback is always welcome but not always useful. Working with the team to refine feedback is an important part of the job.
- Backlog: we identify the top priority items that we need to solve and address them. This not only covers working with developers to get things done but also, doing discovery to validate ideas before they are developed or validating them afterwards. You also see developers as peers defining the problem and figuring out the solution.
- Experimentation and validation: we find new things to do every week… Releasing unfinished services to test acceptance, running demos with mockups, or running SQL queries on our Analytics datalake to identify new problems are part of the job.
- Launching features: developing a feature is only getting the job half done. You must also have experience, documenting and launching features.
We are creating a product with an agile mindset to improve the user experience every day with small improvements that’s why we keep in mind that:
Our product is better than yesterday but worse than tomorrow.
What are we looking for?
- Experience (4 - 6 years) in product management in activities such as:
- Defining a roadmap
- Prioritizing items on a backlog
- Working with developers to make it happen
- Speaking with customers to understand their needs and solve their problems
- Validating against operational data
- Experience in platform products (where data is a central part and you find ways to extract value from it)
- Good product mindset believing that:
- Outcomes over outputs
- Discovery and validation matters
- Product is not only the tech behind it
- Energy sector understanding
- What’s the difference between kW and kWh?
- What is a solar pannel?
- What’s the difference between “Comercializadora” and “Distribuidora”?
- How can we leverage DERs to make money
- Languages: fluent in Spanish and English
- Things that will also help:
- Basic cloud concepts: you will not code, but you need to feel confortable speaking with developers about APIs, front and back, databases and retraining the ML algorithm with the recent data
- SQL: basic SELECTs, JOINs and GROUP BYs to answer business questions
- You should feel comfortable launching experiments without “tech efforts” to asses each idea. Creating a landing with no-code, enrolling in a SaaS service to try it or creating a small script to test your idea, should not feel like a challenge to you even if you have never done it before. If you love “vibe coding” it’s a good sign!
What can we offer you?
- Salary €40-45K.
- Stock options program.
- Unlimited vacations (23 days min).
- Full remote: we always have a team at the office, but we are flexible work where your productivity spikes!
